What batteries is this charger for?

It’s an entry-level 12V smart charger for smaller Ionic 12V lithium batteries — anything up to 30Ah, including the 9Ah, 12Ah, 20Ah, and 30Ah — and it also works with 12V lead-acid batteries.

How long does it take to charge my battery?

Charge time scales with battery size: about 2¼ hours for a 9Ah, 3 hours for a 12Ah, 5 hours for a 20Ah, and 7.5 hours for a 30Ah. Because it’s a 4A charger, it’s best suited to smaller batteries — for larger batteries, a 10A or higher charger is faster.

Will it overcharge my battery if I leave it connected?

No — it’s a smart charger that delivers constant current and voltage, then automatically stops when the battery is full to maximize battery life. As an added safety measure it also times out after 72 hours of continuous charging (shown by blinking red LEDs); to restart, disconnect and reconnect the power cable.

Does it come with different connectors?

Yes — it includes multiple connection options, so you can use the clip-style connectors for quick charging or a more permanent connector for a fixed setup. Owners note the included connectors make it easy and convenient to hook up.

Can I use it on a larger battery bank?

You can wire it in parallel to add charging current to larger 12V systems, but because it only delivers 4A, it’s really designed for smaller batteries (up to 30Ah). For regularly charging large batteries or banks, a higher-output charger (10A, 20A, or 30A) is the better choice.
