Easy Installation
Stack and connect in minutes

Add 1,380Wh of capacity to your GenBox 1200S system. Stack up to 3 expansion modules (4 total batteries) to reach 5.52kWh—extending your backup runtime from approximately 6 hours to a full day. Simple plug-and-stack installation takes less than 10 seconds per module.

1,380Wh Per Module. Each expansion battery adds 1,380Wh to your system. Double, triple, or quadruple your backup runtime—perfect for multi-day outages or critical equipment.

Stack Up to 3 Modules. Maximum system capacity of 5.52kWh total (4 batteries including base unit). All modules charge and discharge together automatically.

Requires GenBox 1200S Base Unit. This is an expansion module only—cannot operate standalone. Must be connected to a GenBox 1200S base unit to function.

5-Minute Installation. Stack, bracket, connect. System automatically recognizes new modules. No programming required.

Same Premium Technology. LiFePO4 battery cells rated for 5,000 cycles (~13+ years). Same 3-year warranty as base unit.

Extend Your Backup Power

The GenBox 1.3B expansion battery module extends your GenBox 1200S runtime from approximately 6 hours to 12, 18, or 24 hours. Stack up to 3 modules for multi-day backup power without generator recharging.

Why Add Expansion Modules?

You experience outages longer than 6 hours
One module doubles your runtime to approximately 12 hours—enough to ride out most storm-related outages overnight.

You need multi-day protection
With 2-3 modules, you have 18-24 hours of continuous runtime—nearly a full day of refrigerator protection without recharging.

You’re powering critical medical equipment
Extended runtime provides peace of mind for medical devices that cannot tolerate interruption.

You want to minimize generator runtime
Run longer on battery between recharging sessions—potentially only needing your generator once every 1-2 days.

How It Works

All modules function as one unified system:

  • Batteries charge and discharge together automatically
  • Base unit manages all charging and protection
  • LCD display shows total system capacity
  • System auto-recognizes new modules when added

Installation: Stack module, install side brackets, connect parallel port, power on. Takes 5-10 minutes per module.

Build Your System Gradually

Start with the base unit and add modules as your needs grow:

  • Base only (1 battery): ~6 hour refrigerator runtime
  • Base + 1 module (2 batteries): ~12 hour runtime
  • Base + 2 modules (3 batteries): ~18 hour runtime
  • Base + 3 modules (4 batteries – MAX): ~24 hour runtime

Important Compatibility Note

This module ONLY works with the GenBox 1200S Slim base unit.

It is NOT compatible with:

  • GenBox 100W, 400W, 800W, or 2400W portable models
  • GenBox 1200 portable (different model—has wheels/handles)

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this module do, and does it work on its own?

It adds 1,380Wh of LiFePO4 capacity to a GenBox 1200S system to extend backup runtime. It is not a standalone unit — it must be connected to a GenBox 1200S base unit to function. Once connected, all batteries charge and discharge together as one system, managed by the base unit, with total capacity shown on the base unit’s display.

How much extra runtime do I get?

Each module roughly doubles a step of runtime for a full-size refrigerator: base unit alone is ~6 hours, base + 1 module ~12 hours, + 2 modules ~18 hours, and the maximum of + 3 modules (4 batteries total) gives ~24 hours of continuous runtime — and even longer with the 1200S’s Eco Smart Cycle feature.

How many can I stack, and what's the max capacity?

You can stack up to 3 expansion modules per GenBox 1200S, for 4 batteries total and a maximum system capacity of 5.52 kWh.

Will it work with my portable GenBox (100, 400, 800, 1200, or 2400)?

No. This module is compatible only with the GenBox 1200S Slim base unit. It is not compatible with the portable GenBox 100W, 400W, 800W, 2400W, or the portable GenBox 1200 (a different model with wheels/handles).

How hard is it to install?

It’s plug-and-stack: set the module in place, install the side brackets, connect the parallel port, and power on. The base unit automatically recognizes the new module with no programming required — plan on roughly 5–10 minutes per module.
